DocuDays™ is a screening series of award-nominated and award-winning documentary feature and short films.

The IDA Documentary Awards is the foremost event dedicated to the art of documentary film. All winners will be announced at the IDA Documentary Awards in Los Angeles on December 4, 2009.

In celebration of the modern evolution of the documentary film, the International Documentary Association (IDA) presents its traveling Pare Lorentz Film Festival in honor of the best of recent documentary film. These are the films that inspire the best in all of us -- the films that address issues of social justice, pressing social problems, environmental or "green" themes, and appropriate use of the natural environment.

Past DocuFests™ have screened such celebrated work as A Walk to Beautiful, Born Into Brothels, Fahrenheit 9/11, We Are Together, Darfur Now, An Inconvenient Truth, Iraq in Fragments, Angel’s Fire. Lively and thought provoking discussion sessions with the creators follow each screening at DocuFest™.

Created in 1997, IDA's DOCUWEEKS™ Theatrical Documentary Showcase, presents a public theatrical exhibition of outstanding new films and helps to qualify feature and short documentaries for Academy Award® consideration. 2009 Call for Entries now closed.

IDA also celebrates the Academy Award® nominated films and filmmakers in both the feature and short subject categories with its annual Academy Award® Nominees Reception, held at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Beverly Hills. This tribute to each year's Academy Award® nominees is followed by DocuDay™ an all-day screening of the Academy Award® nominated documentaries.
