Film Festival Kick Off: Chaplains Under Fire

The film fest kicks off with this look at the competing stresses on military chaplains and the controversy surrounding using government funds to support the presence of religion on the battlefield. A Q&A with the filmmakers will follow the screening.

New York Premiere - The Lord Is Not On Trial Here Today
Friday, 10/22, 8:30 PM, Room 569, Alfred Lerner Hall

The New York City premiere of this documentary, an examination of the Supreme Court case which solidified the wall between church and state. More personally, it's also the story of Vashti McCollum, a small-town mother in suburban Illinois who bravely battled the Board of Education to ban religious teachings in public schools.
