Calendar – Past Event

EBS International Documentary Festival (EIDF), based in Seoul, South Korea, is the only documentary festival in the world that screens in theaters and broadcasts on TV at the same time. EIDF seeks to provide a unique opportunity for the documentaries to communicate with their audience as well as to encourage young documentary filmmakers all around the world to produce new works.

A total amount of $40,000 US will be awarded in the main completion section of EIDF 2012.

Awards:

• Grand Prix (Festival Choice): USD 10,000
• Grand Prix (Issues in Education): USD 10,000
• Spirit Award: USD 7,000
• Special Jury Award: USD 5,000
• UNICEF Special Award: USD 5,000
• Audience Award: USD 3,000

The 9th annual EIDF festival "Play the World," will take place August 17-24 in Seoul, South Korea.
