The duPont-Columbia Awards honor outstanding broadcast, digital and documentary journalism. We look for excellent reporting in the public service, evidence of commitment to important stories and innovative storytelling.
Submission of daily news stories and breaking news coverage as well as feature stories, documentaries and interactive multimedia reporting on critical subjects are encouraged. You may submit a series of related reports or selections from a correspondent's beat reporting in a given year. Investigative stories are also encouraged. Work should demonstrate consistent high quality over time, with accurate and fair reporting.
SUBMISSIONS ARE WELCOME IN THE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES:
The impetus for the Take 2 Documentary Film Festival of the Hamptons now in its 6th year, is to create high-visibility, theatrical venues for talented documentary filmmakers whose works deserve screen time, a second cut or "take 2," as they say in the moviemaking business.
HT2FF was founded and run by documentary filmmakers whose passion for the genre celebrates and appreciates what it takes to produce a memorable doc. Our mission is to build community around the art of visual storytelling.
Filmmaker Eligibility:
Filmmakers with some connection to Long Island or New York City
Application Procedure:
Print, complete & return submission application along with 2 DVDs, necessary information and fee.
Deadline for submissions
July 15, 2013
Entries must be postmarked no later than July 15, 2013.
If your film is accepted, you will be notified by e-mail no later than October 1, 2013.
