FOCAL International, the international Federation of Commercial Audio-visual Libraries, is calling for entries for its ninth annual FOCAL International Awards, held in association with AP Archive.

The awards show celebrates the best use of archive footage material in a variety of genres, as well as the efforts of technicians, researchers and producers active in the field.

Awards categories pertinent to those in the non-fiction entertainment industry include best use of footage in a factual production, best use of footage in an arts production, best use of wildlife and natural history footage, and best use of footage on non-television platforms, among others.

The deadline for entries is December 1, 2011, with the awards show taking place on May 2, 2012, at the Lancaster London Hotel in London, England.
