Calendar – Past Event

In commemoration of the 75th anniversary of Pare Lorentz' The River, the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh will host a special screening of the film. The Pare Lorentz Archive, at the university's Polk Library, has a copy of The River donated by Lorentz himself. The late film scholar Dr. Robert L. Snyder established the archive and also wrote the book Pare Lorentz and the Documentary Film. Snyder's son, Dr. Robert J. Snyder, a professor of media studies at University of Wisconsin-Platteville, will introduce the film.

The screening takes place at Reeve Memorial Union at 7:00 p.m.
