Each year the Sundance Film Festival selects 200 films for exhibition from nearly 12,000 submissions. More than 50,000 people attend screenings in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden, and Sundance, Utah.
The Festival has introduced global audiences to some of the most ground-breaking films of the past two decades, including The Cove, An Inconvenient Truth, Trouble the Water, and Capturing the Friedmans, and through its New Frontier initiative, has showcased the cinematic works of media artists including Isaac Julien, Doug Aitken, Pierre Huyghe, Jennifer Steinkamp, and Matthew Barney.
