WESTDOC features two areas of professional interest designated as The Documentary Village and The Reality Village. Attendees and speakers are able to take full advantage of both of these arenas and to select seminars from any village they choose.
The third day of the conference is entirely devoted to PitchFest, a rousing live presentation for Documentary and Reality producers to pitch new concepts to network and development executives for potential acquisition in front of a live audience.

Over 30 panels on contemporary issues and information about the business of and creation for the Factual and Reality entertainment industry.
The Meeting Deck
A dedicated networking area above the conference floor for appointment-specific meetings and pick-up meetings during the event.
PITCHFEST
A rousing live presentation for Documentary and Reality producers to pitch new works in progress to an esteemed panel of network acquisition executives, buyers and commissioning editors for potential acquisition in front of a live audience. Pitchfest submissions are now open!
Face-Time
One-on-one pitch meetings with broadcasters. These intensive face-to-face sessions allow dedicated meeting time with networks to hear new concepts by independent producers.
The Sit-Down
Thirty-minute overview presentations by cable and network broadcasters sharing what they are currently programming, looking for and how to submit content for consideration.
Opening Night Party and Documentary Screening
The Sunday night kick-off party will showcase a hand-picked feature documentary.
Dinner with Strangers
Progressive networking dinner on 3rd Street Promenade. Unique and fun way to meet industry professionals.
