Shout! Factory and the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum are joining forces to produce a multi-part series on the history of country music. Filmmakers Morgan Neville and David Leaf will produce the eight-part series, and Shout! Factory and the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum will retain worldwide home video and digital distribution.

Associated Television announced last week that it would be going into production, with Intrepid, on a documentary about black artists in the entertainment industry. Intrepid’s Blair Underwood and Tommy Morgan JR. will executive-produce, and David McKensie will produce for Associated Television.
