Christian Gaines, the American Film Institute director of festivals, is moving on to fulfill a similar position with The Internet Movie Database's (IMDb) Withoutabox organization. While at AFI, Gaines spearheaded the annual AFI Fest in Los Angeles was involved with the establishment of Silverdocs and the AFI Dallas International Film Festival.
