Documentary Project: Heat Wave: An Unnatural Disaster is a character-driven feature documentary that explores the legacy of the 1995 heat wave that ravaged the city of Chicago, leaving 739 people dead in four days, the majority of them old, poor and people of color. At the center of this story lies a moral dilemma that has nothing to do with the weather. Poverty predetermined who would live or die during the heat crisis.
