"Copyright/Copywrong in Image Licensing"
Are you a photographer, photo editor, art buyer, art director or designer? Do you sell or license imagery? If so, this is a must-attend event. Nancy E. Wolff, counsel to PACA and an expert in the area of image licensing and the law, will present "Copyright/Copywrong in Image Licensing" followed by a Q&A. As a leading authority on copyright, Ms. Wolff examines actual case studies and explains the sometimes complex issues in terms that everyone can understand. The presentation will address:
the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
fair use
what copyright protects and for how long
what is an infringement
how the Copyright Act can be used to remove infringing works from the Internet
when you need additional permissions and why
The American Society of Picture Professionals (ASPP) is proud to join the Picture Archive Council of America (PACA) and the Copyright Clearance Center (CCC) in bringing Nancy Wolff to Los Angeles for this extraordinary opportunity to learn about the complexities of copyright from an expert in the field. Come armed with questions! Door prizes, including autographed copies of Ms. Wolff's book, generously provided by the CCC.
