2009 International Emerging Documentary Filmmakers Fellowship  
Call for Applications   

The Documentary Center, GWU International Emerging Filmmakers Fellowship is an intensive six-week program that will take place May 30 - July 13, 2009.  We are seeking ten emerging documentary filmmakers from ten nations to participate in this unique international cultural exchange and professional development opportunity. The first year of the Fellowship was sponsored by a grant from the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, U.S. Department of State.   This grant is still under review for further funding as of January 24, 2009.  Fellowships will only be available when full funding of this program is secure.  You may check for updates on our website at: http://www.gwu.edu/doccenter/news.htm or by contacting our Fellowship Coordinator, Hassanah Tauhidi, at hit@gwu.edu for up-to-date information on funding status. As time will be short when grant funds are allocated, we recommend that you submit your application by the February 27, 2009 deadline in order to be considered in our current year eligible pool of candidates.
