Calendar – Past Event

June 11th & 12th, EditFest returns for its second year to New York with a star-studded lineup of award-winning editors during two tightly programmed days of education, information, and networking. Presented by American Cinema Editors (ACE) and Manhattan Edit Workshop, EditFest NY is the east coast presentation of ACE's highly regarded EditFest series, an event that puts leading editors in presentation and conversation with their peers, aspiring editors and film-enthusiasts.

This year's extensive lineup includes the Oscar® nominated editing team from Avatar, John Refoua and Stephen Rivkin, ACE; Oscar® winner Thelma Schoonmaker, The Departed, The Aviator, Raging Bull; Oscar® winner Alan Heim, ACE, All That Jazz, Network; the Emmy winning editor of Sex and The City I & II, Michael Berenbaum, ACE; Mark Livolsi, ACE, The Blind Side, Wedding Crashers, The Devil Wears Prada; Oscar®nominated Joe Klotz, ACE, Precious, Junebug, and many others. The panels present compelling insights, first-hand experiences and advice to attendees.

Aimed at professional editors, production executives, network and studio staff, fledgling assistants and content creators, the event includes moderated panels, an opening night reception, extensive Q&A sessions and a closing pizza and beer casual wrap up.
