Dear IDA Community,

Over my seven wonderful years as the Executive Director of the International Documentary Association and Publisher of Documentary magazine, my greatest joy has been mentoring filmmakers through the alternately energizing, painful, and ultimately gratifying process of making documentary films.

I will be leaving my post on July 11, 2008 to transition into the next phase of my career. I will be producing, and consulting on the development and production of documentaries. I have enjoyed my years at IDA, and appreciate having had the opportunity to serve the documentary community.

I leave the organization knowing that you are in the hands of a very dedicated and competent staff, and a committed Board of Directors who have the best interest of the future of IDA at heart.

Without our Board of Trustees, our corporate sponsors, and of course, you the members, IDA could not implement our mission – to promote nonfiction film and support the efforts of documentary filmmakers around the world.
