EL ESPIRITU DE LA SALSA (THE SPIRIT OF SALSA): Filmmakers Jon Alpert, Francisco Bello, Matt O'Neill and Timothy Sternberg follow lonely hearts from all over New York City - including an equities trader, an ER doctor, a construction worker and a cop - as they come together in Spanish Harlem once a week at Santo Rico Dance School to let loose, dance and connect while learning the rich art of salsa. Under the tutelage of renowned teacher Tomas Guerrero they have only six weeks to rehearse for a public performance. Debuts Aug. 9.
