Robert Drew's latest film is A President to Remember: In the Company of John F. Kennedy, an 80-minute work in which he edited together his four JFK films with other footage of that time to present an intimate history in candid photography of one American President. Alec Baldwin handles the narration. Says Drew, "The film has played well in festivals in the US and overseas. HBO will broadcast the film this November to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Kennedy's winning the Presidency. 2010 is also the 50th anniversary of the making of Primary, the formation of Drew Associates and the beginning of cinema verite in the United States. We have embarked on a long term project of putting onto DVD a large number of the very early Drew Associates' films which are otherwise unavailable to scholars, students and the general public. Concurrently we are also working to release more current films from our archive." www.drewassociates.net
