Sandra Ruch, Executive Director of the International Documentary Association, has resigned her position effective Friday, July 11th, 2008. She is departing the LA based nonprofit to pursue other opportunities.

"The Board of Directors wishes to thank Sandra for her tireless years of service to our organization," says IDA's Board President, diane estelle Vicari. “Her dedication to the documentary form and the documentary community has few equals.  Sandra has touched the lives of countless documentary filmmakers around the world, and helped build IDA into a world class organization.”

While the organization conducts its executive search, Ms. Vicari will serve as the IDA's interim Executive Director.
