As previously reported here, Michael Moore's newest film, Slacker Uprising, is now available for free downloading for the next three weeks. A chronicle of his 2004 Fahrenheit 911 tour of college campuses to get out the vote, Slacker Uprising sounds suspiciously like Captain Mike Across America, which Moore showcased at the 2007 Toronto International Film Festival to less than enthusiastic acclaim, then shelved it for a while, then repurposed it as this incarnation, with a little help from his friends at The Weinstein Company and Brave New Films. The DVD is available for free for colleges and universities that request it, and for $9.95 for the rest of us. Moore has also released Mike's 2008 Election Guide, which you can also order--but not for free--through the Slacker Uprising website.

The reviews for Slacker Uprising are slowly trickling in, and here's one from the Toronto Globe and Mail.
