Responsible for managing multi-million dollar budgets, supervising large teams of international personnel, developing and commissioning hundreds of hours of award winning programming, and introducing new technologies and working practices to the broadcast environment.
Head of Production and Executive Producer, the Experius Academy 2008 - 2009 Developed programming strategy and contributed to the conception of the Curiosity Project for John Hendricks.
Head of Production, EXTME World Bank Group. 2002 Developed and Commissioned programming for the WBG and broadcasters worldwide.
Senior Vice President and Executive Producer, Discovery Networks International, Bethesda, MD. 1998 - 2001 Developed and Commissioned international coproductions for DNI. Expanded his First Time Film Makers Initiative to Eastern Europe, Asia and Australia.
Member, Discovery Communications HDTV steering committee. 1997 - 2001 Developed HDTV strategy for international productions, (As SVP, DNI).

Christopher Haws Consulting. 2002 - present President and CEO: Developing and managing a successful international media consultancy business.
Independent Communications Associates (InCA), London UK; Sausalito, CA; Sydney, Australia and Nairobi, Kenya. 1985 - 1994 Founder, Chairman and Managing Director of this top ten UK Independent Production Company from its inception to his resignation (to join Discovery) in December, 1994. Over 400 hours of broadcast production were produced over this period.
Under CH, InCA opened subsidiary offices in Sausalito, CA; Sydney, Australia and Nairobi, Kenya, Affiliate offices were established in Tokyo, Japan and St Petersburg, Russia.
As a mid sized independent in the late ‘80’s and early ‘90’s, InCA was at the forefront of the science, technology and wildlife programming niche for many years, winning many awards, including the 1989 Best Documentary award for CH’s program on Chaos Theory.
Overseas, InCA was a regular contributor to PBS, ABC, Arte and Discovery, as well as to it’s national broadcast clientele within the UK.
Sky Film Productions, 1982 - 1985 CH was Founder and Chairman of one of the first independent production companies, spawned by the creation of Channel 4 in the UK in 1982. Specializing in science and technology programming, this boutique production company formed the basis of InCA when it was incorporated in 1985.

…Executive Producer of “Bhutan, Kingdom of Happiness” - a theatrical release / HDTV documentary special on the magical kingdom of Bhutan. For transmission later in 2010.
…Executive Producer of “Landspeed Shootout” – a 1 x 50’ HDTV special on the race to win the world landspeed record for motorcycles on the Bonneville Salt Flats of Utah. For transmission by Discovery Asia in early 2010.
…Executive Producer and writer of “The Accidental Diva” – a 1 x 50’ HDTV documentary biography of Veronica Villaroel, Chile’s most famous operatic soprano. Produced in both English and Spanish as a coproduction with TV Nacional, Chile. Winner of numerous awards throughout the world.
