Lots of interesting numbers for documentaries in theatrical release this past weekend. I'm no mathematician, but here's a round up of various facts and figures...

Both Kirby Dick's Outrage and Gary Hustwit's Objectified opened in theaters this weekend. According to indieWire's BOT, which ranks by per-theater average using information from Rentrak Theatrical, Objectified took in an estimated $9,400 from its sole screen at New York’s IFC Center. Outrage, released by Magnolia Pictures, grossed $35,000 on five screens.

Box Office Mojo, which reports on the weekend gross, has Earth in the #9 spot with an estimate b.o. take of $2,488,000, for a total gross of $26,086,000. Every Little Step, Jim Stern and Adam del Deo's Chorus Line doc now in its 4th week of release, had an estimated weekend gross of $87,600, for a total gross of $343,000. And rock doc Anvil! The Story of Anvil took in $36,400 in its fifth week of release, making for a total of $280,000. For a look at the entire chart, click here.
