Tuesday Noveber 25th at 7:00PM come join us for "Pizza and Post," Video Symphony TV & Film School's monthly speaker series and networking event.
This month our special guest is Chuck Workman, who Matt Zoller Seitz of the New York Times called one of the three most influential editors of the past 50 years.
Chuck Workman has been involved in filmmaking for thirty years as a director, writer, editor, and producer. Workman has directed several documentaries, including: SUPERSTAR, on artist Andy Warhol, THE SOURCE, on the beat generation, THE PEOPLE'S PRESIDENT, on the Presidency and pop culture, and THE FIRST 100 YEARS, on the history of movies.
He has also won several awards for his short films at The Denver Film Festival, The New York Film Festival, Sundance, and Cannes. His film, PRECIOUS IMAGES, won an Oscar for Best Short film and it is the most widely shown short in history. Workman is also well-known for montage and documentary sequences, especially those he created for several Oscar shows, which were nominated ten times for Emmys.
"Pizza & Post" is a great opportunity to gain new insights, ask a few questions, network with your post-production peers, and as always, eat a lot of pizza. P&P is free and runs from 7PM to 9PM at Video Symphony TV & Film School, 266 E. Magnolia Blvd., Burbank, CA. There's free parking in the adjacent parking garage (entrance at 239 E.
