The purpose of the Contests is to encourage creation of these Video Entries which uncover relevant ideas, wisdom and emotions of individuals. Each month we have a particular theme.

Contest October 2009: "A Family Struggles To Go Green"
There's little doubt the environment is in danger. But the response of individuals and families to that danger varies widely. Why is that? Perhaps some family members are committed but others are not. Or maybe the entire family is on-board with the idea of "going green", but the limitations of time and money mean they aren't nearly doing all they'd like. The most important thing is not that they are or are not green. It's that they're struggling over this issue. And your job, through observation with the video camera and asking questions, is to show us this struggle.
Launches: Oct. 7, 2009 | Submissions Due: Oct. 23, 2009
Prize: $1500 - Grand Prize + $1000 to Film / Video-Making Group
$500 - First Prize
$150 - Three Second Prizes
In addition to the prizes, the best videos will be shown at the "Good and Green" conference in Chicago November 17th and 18th. Your name will be on the video.

About Reel Insights
Reel Insights captures the too-often hidden wisdom of seemingly "ordinary" people and shares these insights to enlighten others. And we do it the most powerful way we know: on video. Uncovering the knowledge that often lays hidden is important to the individual, to businesses and to society. We've been doing this for nearly a decade under the umbrella of our parent company, Snippies, which commissions journalists to do similar work and bringing the wisdom of ordinary people into the board rooms where decisions are made benefits us all.
