SCENEPR is hosting a panel for Internet Week NY to explore Social Media's influence on
both on Film & Television

"The Socialization of Film", a panel discussion highlighting social media's emergence as the dominant distribution & marketing platform for film & television, takes place on Wednesday, June 9th from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at Downtown Community Television (DCTV), 87 Lafayette Street, New York, NY.

SCENEPR! is a staple in New York City's media, arts & entertainment industry, with its unique events that helps to showcase new talent, foster networking & support development of media, arts & entertainment entrepreneurs. Join moderator Brian Reich, Managing Director of little m media & author of the book, "Media Rules!: Mastering Today's Technology to Connect With and Keep Your Audience" as he leads a panel of film & social media experts during this engaging and informative discussion/Q&A.

The panel will explore such questions as: How is social media being used to launch films, build social communities around TV series and films? Is this the new distribution model for film? How are film producers, pr, marketing agents, networks and studios using this new weapon in the battle to find new revenue for films both pre and post production. Panelists include Danae Ringelmann, Founder/COO of IndieGogo, Jessica Lee, Director of Acquisitions at Indies Direct, Francesco Rulli, Founder/President of Film Annex, and Marissa Spano, Creative Director at Soul Speeker Media as well as representatives from Next New Networks and Participant Films (Oceans, Charlie Wilson's War, The Kite Runner).
