Summercamp! (U.S. Television Premiere) – This winning documentary captures a quintessential childhood experience as it spends three weeks at the Swift Nature Camp, a kid’s sleep-away camp situated on a wooded lake in Wisconsin. While following a handful of mostly pre-teen campers, the filmmakers plunge into the time-honored activities that occupy the kids from 7am to 10pm: fishing, canoeing, swimming, campfires and more. Summercamp! is also sweetly attuned to the powerful emotional currents of camp: the ardent friendships and burgeoning flirtations, the squabbles and horsing around, the bouts of homesickness and the moments of pure joy.
