The Sundance Institute Documentary Film Program provides creative and
financial support to U.S. and international documentary filmmakers
working on pressing contemporary social issues. Support for documentary
filmmakers includes the Sundance Documentary Fund, Sundance Creative
Labs, documentary panels and filmmaker support at the Sundance Film
Festival and Independent Producer's Conference, as well as ongoing
programming and resource-sharing initiatives internationally. Films
supported have included My Country, My Country; Why We Fight; Born
Into Brothels; Iraq in Fragments; The Betrayal (Nerakhoon) and
Trouble the Water.The Sundance Institute Documentary Film Program is a
core program of Sundance Institute, a non-profit organization dedicated
to the discovery and development of independent artists.
