The documentary will follow the four main subjects from the battlefield of Iraq and Afghanistan entering the program for the first time. Where we see them experimenting with a number of innovative treatments that are proving to be very effective for some of service members who are not responding to past and current methods. In one case, they are finding success in animal assisted therapy program involving the training of service dogs to assist fellow veterans. Also, art and music therapy, yoga, mediation and other treatments at this advance state-of-the-art research facility! The treatments they are receiving at NICoE will hopefully improve their lives and have a tremendous effect on their outlook and well being in most cases with family, friends and others. The documentary will also explore the effects on the service members' spouses and children for secondary trauma, which is a new phenomena.
