We did it... Our first film festival! I know, everyone told us to wait for one of the big ones, but... Chris at Bloody Hero was so nice and he was the first to believe in us, and I'm a loyal kind of girl... So, American Courtesans was an Official Selection of the Bloody Hero Film Festival in Phoenix, AZ, playing 3 times from Feb 8-10 at the Phoenix Center for the Arts. Plus - (big pause, and rumbling drums or something like that) American Courtesans took home a trophy for "Best Edit of a Feature Film", very much pleasing our editor Bobby R. Poirier (I could hug him right now), and the director James Johnson, who worked side by side for months. The festival was amazing, and the films... Wow, it was an honor to be amongst them. My only regret is that I did't get to see more.
