Internship available at Wild Life Productions for National Geographic Channel Expedition Week Specials
Wild Life Productions is seeking an intern for Expedition Week specials for National Geographic Channel. Intern will work closely with producers, assistant editor, and writer/director on post-production for one show and pre-production for another.
Duties will be widespread with a focus on assisting the producers during the final edit, sound design, scoring and delivery of one show as well as participating in logging, transcribing, and preparing program deliverables for the network.
In addition, intern will also assist producers in the pre-production phase for a second expedition week show. Responsibilities will include story research, logistics and planning, scheduling, permitting, archival research, as well as assisting in the preparation for narrative re-creations.
Applicants must be willing to take both technical and creative challenges head-on and work as a member of a team. A basic understanding of Final Cut Pro is a major plus.
WLP is a small, boutique production company and Intern will be fully immersed in the ins and outs of how to set up and complete a major production for the non-fiction/reality networks.
This is an unpaid internship but students can receive college credit for their work if they choose and their school obliges. The position begins May 9th and will continue through mid-June.
