Multi-award winning executive producer Mitchell Block has joined with the IDA once again to produce an exclusive 2-day Documentary Producing Workshop to help you and other aspiring documentary filmmakers find answers to all your questions. Part of IDA’s longstanding Doc U educational series, Block is holding two full days of producing advice and information at The Writers Boot Camp and The Spitfire Grill on February 9 and 10, 2013.
The big focus of Day 1 will be funding from both the private and the public sectors. Block will look at individual projects from workshop attendees and give specific advice on how (and if) one should approach financial support. Mitchell invites you to share your ideas or projects at any stage of production and have them evaluated as part of the class.
For Day 2, Mitchell will work with you to give your doc the tune-up it needs to make it sell. Asking the big question of why your project isn’t attractive studios, networks, or sponsors, Block will aim to make sure your package, proposal, idea, budget, team, and target are all on track.
