
Monday night's adventures began with a screening of Planting the Seeds. This new animation piece from Takashi Murakami was projected onto the Lake of Dreams, the outdoor waterfall venue at the Wynn Las Vegas. In this episode, the characters Kaikai and Kiki embark on a watermelon farming adventure where they learn about new exciting fertilization methods. Monday began with a screening of Aaron Rose and Joshua Leonard's Beautiful Losers, which premiered at SXSW earlier this spring. The film documents the evolution of a group of artists who sprung from the DIY (do-it-yourself) subcultures of skateboarding, surf, punk, hip hop and graffiti in the early '90s, including Harmony Korine, Stephen Powers, Mike Mills, Margaret Kilgallen and Geoff McFetridge.
