
Associate Producer/Producer with 6 years of industry experience in Specialist Factual/Factual documentary and an academic background in Science and Natural History Film. Confident with generating ideas, scripting, organizing shoots and can be relied upon as a 2nd camera and sound person.
Aneeta Akhurst is a Biological Science graduate from King's College, London and also has a Post Graduate Diploma in Natural History Film and Science Communication from the University of Otago. During her time at the University of Otago, Aneeta co-produced and directed the independent natural history film, ‘Fledging Expectations' which was screened at numerous film festivals internationally and was given ‘Honorable Mention’ at The International Wildlife Film Festival ‘07. For the past six years she's been gaining experience within the broadcast industry in the UK and has worked on documentary projects for The Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, PBS, the BBC and The Reader's Digest. Aneeta's career has made her a strong production all-rounder having worked on numerous projects from pre-production right through to the online edit. She also has field experience both studying and filming wildlife in the UK, New Zealand and Indonesia. Since moving from London to California she is now working on developing an independent project while looking for freelance work and is preparing to launch a new wine label with her husband and winemaker, Robin Akhurst, in March 2012.
