Biography: This year I formed The End Productions Limited, a small, family-run production company specialising in quirky adventure travel documentaries. Project 1- FREE WHEELS EAST. (In the final stages of post production) Narrated by Emmy award winner Peter Coyote FREE WHEELS EAST is the inspiring story of two young men who - without any experience of the world or any training - forge a ridiculous plan to ride bicycles in every continent without using aeroplanes. To achieve this unlikely goal would mean becoming the first human beings to do so. In this epic three year journey, cousins, BEN WYLSON and JAMIE MACKENZIE defy the social order to set out into the unknown. They battle through landslides and over mountains; they cross deserts and somehow hitch lifts across all of the world’s great oceans. It seems nothing can stop them… In filming this astonishing adventure, Jamie and Ben have created a beautiful work which carries the viewer along with them. Their pioneering use of on-bike photography and their light-hearted approach make this unique story unforgettable Producer Jack Wylson took on the project in 2009, working closely with adventurer, co-director and brother Ben Wylson. Writing both the narrative and the sparse, yet captivating soundtrack (recorded on guitars carried on the expedition), Ben and Jack have made a compelling documentary. On the narrator - PETER COYOTE is a well respected actor who has been in more than 90 films starring alongside the likes of Harrison Ford, Jeff Bridges, Dustin Hoffman, Julia Roberts, Robin Williams, Glenn Close and Dennis Hopper to name a few. As an Emmy Award winning narrator of over 120 documentaries, from an array of National Geographic productions to Woodie Guthrie: Ain’t Got No Home, Peter Coyote could not know his profession better. As a distinguished writer who has penned his own memoir, “Sleeping Where I Fall”, Peter has contributed to a multitude of other books and publications. He is also a politically engaged figure who over the years has championed a diversity of very worthy causes. Free Wheels East is his latest project.
