Brief Message to Members: I am currently looking for any entry-level positions on documentary films, particularly in the area of production or research assistant. I'm located in Los Angeles, but would be willing to travel.
Biography: I am 25 years old and am a 2005 graduate of the University of Southern California School of Cinema Television. During film school, when I wasn't studying or making student films, I spent much of my time volunteering and working with children in the inner-city neighborhoods of Los Angeles that surround the campus. This work had a great effect on me and after graduation I decided to join the Peace Corps. I was sent to Paraguay where I served as an education volunteer in a small, rural community. During my service we worked together as a community to build a library, improve reading in the classroom, start a dental health and anti-parasite campaign and I did a documentary film program with local children. I'm now back in the United States, in Los Angeles, and am looking to start a career in the documentary or educational television industry. I'm currently looking for entry-level positions such as production or research assistant and am willing to relocate or travel anywhere in the world. I'm fluent in Spanish, I speak GuaranĂ, I have both a film and education background and I'm comfortable living and working in foreign countries.
