Biography: During the past 20 years I have worked as Director, Producer DP and Editor in most cinematic genres including documentary and narratives shorts and features, industrial, educational and music videos released via a range of both traditional, interactive and streaming delivery ccommunication channels. Currently I have been working on "The Chronic Pain Educational Series." A documentary series of short, self contained documentaries, each focused on a particular aspect of chronic pain. The series explores basic questions such as, what is pain and how pain is transmitted, physiology, diagnostic options, treatments, research trends, health insurance related issues, pain at the workplace and at home. It also includes personal diaries of individuals who live with chronic pain on daily basis and health care practitioners accounts that treat chronic pain. The series also investigates medical, legislative national and international issues and history. Chronic pain holds back individuals, families often whole communities from their full potential. I believe effective chronic pain prevention and treatment is possible; it comes through education. In spite of the health care industry’s best efforts to properly diagnose and treat chronic pain, millions of individuals around the globe remain undiagnosed and untreated. As a result, careers fade away, families fall apart, some fall into financial ruin, unable to afford further health care, some spiral into addiction, depression, and sometimes attempt suicide. I hope this documentary series helps to educate and improve people's lives. Currently I am looking for leads, anyone who has an interesting story related to chronic pain as a patient, a caretaker, health professional, etc. Also I am looking for sponsorship opportunities or grants as well as consultants in all areas related directly or indirectly to chronic pain. http://artvdo.wordpress.com
