Biography: 

Journalist, scriptwriter and director, Claudia Nunes worked for many television and radio channels as reporter, television and radio anchor, and editor along the 80’s and 90’s. After that her interest for different audiovisuals languages increased, so she began to produce, write and direct documentaries and independent films.

On the Radio and Television, the professional career began in Rádio Cidade FM as speaker of musical programs, special correspondent, anchor and writer of many informative programs of different issues: women, medicine and health care, food, poetry, cinema and live interviews.

Soon after the graduation, worked as reporter in one of the biggest daily newspaper of the state, Diário da Manhã. Was producer, writer and editor of the Santa Dica, Cultural Agenda in Goiânia (monthly magazine sponsored by the City Hall Culture Secretary), for three years.

Was chief of the Communication Department of public and private institutions and companies such as the State Department for Roads and Traffic of Goiás and the City Hall Culture Secretary. At present, is the communication assessor for Unimed Goiânia Medical Work Cooperative, besides assisting, electoral campaigns of professional regional councils, scientific events such as congresses, shows and film festivals.

Worked, since 1989, on electoral TV campaigns for mayor and governor as reporter, speaker and, mainly, as production coordinator and chief editor.

Coordinated the Cinema and Video Department of the Culture Secretary of the City of Goiânia (2001 to 2004), where coordinated the exhibition of film festivals in communitarian cinema rooms and outdoors for the social movement, and TV and radio workshops. Integrated the foundation committee of the Technological Art Center of the City Hall, the executive foundation committee of the DOC TV Goiás Program (affiliated to DOC TV Brasil) and member of the Cultural Projects Analysis Council - City Law of Culture Support.

Coordinated several communication workshops (video and radio) for social movement groups such as the street boys and girls, members of the National Movement of Street Boys and Girls during the preparation for their third international congress, landless workers and federal employees of the National Ministry of Healthy in Goiás.

As a free-lancer, has written and produced screenplays for journalistic programs of television and independent documentaries, also worked as film festivals jury and coordinator of 'Free Radio' broadcasting with Brazilian groups of street boys and girls and was awarded with Tiokô Trophy 2007 – João Bennio Medal in Cinema granted by the Brazilian Writers Union – Goiás and Jaburu Trophy 2006 – Medal of Cultural Merit in Cinema granted by the Cultural State Council of Goiás.
