I am working on documentary video portraits, and I am interested in working with filmmakers on their projects. I can provide writing, research and photography, and general on-set support.

Biography: I work primarily as a writer, supporting arts and education institutions such as PBS, The Independent Television Service, Encyclopedia Britannica, Scientific Learning Corporation and Northwestern University. I am also the author of "Borderlines" (Random House, Broadway Books, 2003), a memoir about moving to California at 23, just after my mother died. I am currently working on a series of documentary portraits of individuals and American towns using combinations of photography, video and sound.
