Composer Gregory Reeves, creates original music for TV, film, interactive, advertising, multimedia installations, and more.
Reeves most recently composed the score for the feature documentary GORGING (gorgingmovie.com). GORGING is an adventurous look at canyoneering, the sport of exploring canyons by means of hiking, swimming, climbing and rappelling. Relatively obscure, the sport is most recognizable from the grisly accident of Aron Ralston, who severed his own arm while trapped in a canyon, the story becoming the basis for the film 127 Hours with James Franco.
The score for GORGING is a bit unexpected--it is purely electronic, juxtaposed against the natural beauty and amazing landscapes we see in the film. The sport of canyoneering is full tension and release, and Reeves' score embodies that in a unique fashion, even using location audio to create musical events.
