Darius Fisher is the producer of several award winning films on subjects ranging from alternative energy to peace in the Middle East. As a filmmaker he’s dedicated to finding and sharing with a mass audience, solutions to some of our most challenging problems. Darius is the founder and president of Digital Neural Axis (DNA) a production facility based in Topanga Canyon, Los Angeles. A graduate of Sussex University, England, he earned a B.A. in French, and European Studies. In 1989 Darius joined ARK, founded by prominent environmentalist's, film makers, environmentalists and recording artists including, Kevin Godley, Chrissie Hynde, Bryn Jones, Sir Paul McCartney, Sting and Peter Gabriel. ARK was created to use the power of mass media to promote environmental awareness. In the mid nineties Darius was based in New York City where he worked as an editor, motion graphic designer and visual effects artist. After founding DNA he moved to Los Angeles to work on major films as a digital artist and vfx producer. Among some projects were THE AVIATOR, THE LAST SAMURI and SUPERMAN RETURNS.
From 2003 to 2008 he produced the Sundance winning, WGA nominated, Oscar short-listed documentary FUEL on alternative energy. DNA took FUEL from the initial stages of creating a fundraising trailer all the way to the film’s final on-line post-production and marketing trailers. Most recently he co-produced BHUTTO, in documentary competition at Sundance 2010 and BUDRUS at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival. BUDRUS went on to win the Special Jury Mention at Tribeca, the audience award at the San Francisco International film Festival, and the Silver Audience award at the Berlin Film Festival and many more recently. He is currently developing several documentary projects.
