Greetings! I am a documentary filmmaker working mostly in U.S. history and social issues.
I am currently co-producing and co-directing and independently financed documentary on a group of early aviators from Yale who became the founding squadron of the U.S. Naval Air Reserve during WWI. My filmmaking partner is Ron King, and we serve as officers on the board of Humanus Documentary Films Foundation. The tentative title of our film is "The Millionaires' Unit -- America's Pioneer Pilots of the Great War." We have an 86-minute rough cut and plan to complete the film in late spring 2012.
I've written and produced documentaries on Native America, the Civil War, hunger in America, and pop culture for Discovery, the History Channel, VH1 and PBS. For five years I worked as the researcher for the design firm of the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum. Most recently I worked as associate producer on two documentaries for Turner Classic Movies, "Brando" and "Moguls and Movie Stars -- A History of Hollywood."
