Biography: 

Ed Robbins is a multi-award winning Director-Writer-Videographer with over 20 years experience. It's taken me to towns and cities across the States, to crisis and war zones that include Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Syria, and places in Africa that include S.Sudan, Liberia and Rwanda. My films have been mostly hours for broadcast on US network and cable stations along with BBC2 and Channel4 Britain. I've also have done numerous short film assignments for Time Magazine and NYTimes as a Video Journalist, finding stories, writing, shooting and editing. In somewhat of a contrast to the many stories I've done war on war or religion or emergency room doctors, I have a background in fine art and have done artist profiles and performance piece films shown in museums nationally.

Currently I'm working on programs that mix interviews with extensive re-creations and actors. I also teach video-journalism at the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism.

It's been too many months since I've been in the thick of things overseas and hungering for under-reported stories.
