Biography:

I have been a working professional photographer since 1976, after graduating from Metropolitan State University (MSU) with a BA in photojournalism.

Since then I have operated a photo studio in south Minneapolis, taught photography for 15 years at MSU part-time as an adjunct faculty member, worked as a self-employed freelance photographer, all the while also serving 29 years in the Minnesota Army National Guard in public affairs.

The last six years I served in the Guard I worked full-time as the Public Affairs Chief at Camp Ripley, near Little Falls. My primary responsibility was to promote nationally the Camp as a training site for military units and civilian organizations.

This marketing effort included documenting major training events in video and still photography, creating PowerPoint presentations, writing articles for magazines and newspapers, and writing press releases. I produced a 40 page color brochure to showcase the Camp’s facilities, firing ranges and capabilities, and each year published a year-in-review newspaper, The Ripley Reporter. I won several national awards for my photography and most notably was awarded an Emmy for my contribution to the Fox Sports Network Salute to Freedom Week. I retired from military service in June, 2006.

After leaving the military I established Farrow Media Services. Based on my many years of experience, Farrow Media Services offers video and photography to individuals, businesses, governmental and not-for-profit organizations, and ministries.

Some of the clients I have produced video and photography for include General Mills, World Vision, Carlson Hotels, the St. Paul Public Library System, the White Bear Area Chamber of Commerce, International Ministerial Fellowship, Casa de Niño’s in Tepic, Mexico, Bridge of Love in Yucatan, Mexico; Kingdom Gospel Ministries in Guntur, India; and Serve India Ministries.

Recently, I commenced work on producing a 60 minute film on the short-term mission movement for public broadcast.
