Biography: 

Born in Calcutta, India, in 1959. Completed a Film Appreciation course in Chitrabani, Kolkata under stewardship of Philip Strick of Sight & Sound,UK. Later he was trained in film Direction, Screenwriting & Videography from Argus Videomatics, Kolkata. Made several Ad films and teasers. Subsequently made several documentary films under Dhurjati Prasad Productions, Kolkata as Assistant Director.
