Gil Vazquez is a student journalist reporter. He is a military veteran and an activist for social and economic justice. He is a Latino-American who was born on December of 1981 and raised in NYC, New York to a couple of Puerto Rican parents who moved to the United States with a hope for a better education and a prosperous life.

Along with his love for music and art, he also has a passion for science, nature, politics and current events. He considers himself a democrat and has strongly opposing views from those of the republican party but has still been a strong critic of both the Democratic and Republican parties. He has adopted strongly progressive views and realizes that both parties eat from the same pot. It is however, clear, which party is completely out of touch with the needs of the common person.
