Biography:

A tomboy of sorts from the start, Hillary grew up in sunny Palos Verdes, CA., and from a very young age spent her time celebrating all things rad – bikes, beaches, cliffs, rollerblades, horseback riding, and the Lakers, to name a few. What a movie would dub the so-called misfit art kid wandering a yuppie suburbia, she began her fledgling arts career drawing, sculpting, writing, and singing in punk bands. She spent ample time tailing her father around his successful major Ad agency – EJL – and learned the creative ropes from a young age, until later she was accepted by the rigorous Otis School of Art & Design in Los Angeles.

There she completed her first film, documenting the good, bad and ugly aspects of being a woman finding herself behind the wheel of a diesel race car (and earning a fastest women’s speed-pass record time). She graduated with excellent grades and a hard earned Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Digital Media. Off the track, she worked her way up to Marketing Director for Von Dutch Originals, Inc. during the peak of the company’s success. Hillary has used her fiery spirit and film background to take an environmentally active role in the realm of spreading awareness about planetary consciousness. She also founded Los Angeles based LA Biocars, which specialized in converting diesel automobilies to alternative fuel hybrids. Here, she creatively manufactured a brand for a market that had yet barely existed. Her subsequent environmental projects include PSA’s about water conservation, geared towards inspiring the public into taking eco-action instead of simply 'talking the talk'.

Stars aligned and she was eventually discovered in a Las Vegas ladies’ room by who would eventually become her agent – and was recruited to the world of fashion. After being chased around the world by flashbulbs for high fashion clients (Gucci, Prada, D&G, Armani, BCBG) and stomping runways from Italy to Shanghai, she found herself back in the city taking an alternate seat for the LA City Council Art Committee. She co-ran the downtown artist collective BOXeight, which produced some of the most successful parties, art exhibits, and fashion week events that the city has seen, as heralded on the cover of the LA Times in 2007 – “A Saint Marches In.”

No stranger to the unordinary, her creative mind is the result of early first hand experience and a life packed full of imagery. Having flirted with careers in marketing, fashion, music, production and film, Hillary has a keen eye for conceptual strategies involving any type of market. She has since taken a breather from such a whirlwind decade, using retouching as a Zen exercise and source of revenue. Hillary is persistent and dedicated, leaving a lasting impression on all parties she works with. She is currently energetic, ready for the next adventure, with an avid desire to get back into the world of creative marketing, design, and film production.
