I am new to the Los Angeles area. A transplant from the East Coast, I've been making documentaries for National Geo, Discovery, and others for many years. I offer Emmy-Award quality location sound, writing/producing services.
Jeanne's documentary writing skills are heard in actress Linda Hunt’s narration of Discovery Channel’s "The Italians" and National Geographic’s "The Great Indian Railway". Edward James Olmos narrated her script of Nat Geo’s "The Mexicans: Through Their Eyes", which garnered an Emmy Award for her sound recording. As a producer-writer sound recordist, she won another national Emmy Award for Discovery's "The Italians". As a producer, Jeanne helped bring in six Emmy Award nominations from the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, including a Best Screenwriting Emmy nomination for ABC’s underwater documentary adventure, "Bikini: Forbidden Paradise".
A native of Maryland, Jeanne picked up her first camera at 15 years old, went on to produce films in college, and graduated from Frostburg University with a minor in Communications Media and a major in English Literature. She began her documentary career with the National Geographic Society Television Division at the age of 24. Her passion and talent led her to team up with cinematographer and film producer, William Livingston. Over the next 16 years, they produced documentaries in Russia, England, India, Italy, Micronesia, China, Japan, Mexico, Ireland, Vietnam and Australia. Together, they won more than 100 film awards.
In a natural creative growth, Jeanne segued from celluloid film to high-definition digital media, from Television Specials to web videos. She has shot, edited, narrated, written her original productions for Dustlight Productions since 2005.
Jeanne is located in the Greater Los Angeles area. Her clients include individuals, corporations, universities, hospitals, museums and non-profit organizations.
