Biography: I really became interested in working with video as a teenager in high school. I took a liking mostly to music videos at first entering my first film festivals as a high school senior with a music video I had made. The following year I started college as an FMA student at Temple U. I took my first year off from any film classes and made a short documentary on my own time called "Whittemore." Whittemore screened in the schools, "Best of the Festival Program" and went on to screen at the "Chicago Reel Shorts Film Fest."
The remainder of my schooling I kept to my self a bit while getting more invovled in documentary and music videos. At the end of my Junior year I made a Modest Mouse music video that went into rotation on MTV networks.
Growing up I learned much of my social and networking skills from riding BMX bicycles, and just being a part of the bicycle community. In the summer between Junior and Senior year I began shooting my first feature length documentary, "I Love My Bicycle: The Story of FBM Bikes." Being shot all over the US with many of the big bicycle company owners and icons, the film allowed me to work with many of my idols in the bicycle industry as well as many incredible musicians. By directing, shooting, editing, and producing the film for the past 2 years I have learned an immense amount about what it takes to make a feature film from start to finish. The film is currently being edited and prepared for 2009 film festivals.
