Biography:

Alexandra Krawiec, born in 1971, producer and director of PASSION FOR LIFE.
She was taking first steps in media with BBC Manchester and with BBC Radio Scotland in Edinburgh were she did her job experience. In early 90's she lived in Edinburgh at Wiktor Tomaszewski's - a medical doctor and one of the founders of Polish Faculty of Medicine at Edinburgh University. As a result of that encounter she had a unique chance to meet many venerable Polish emigrants, such as general Stanislaw Maczek and general Wladyslaw Anders' wife - Zofia Anders. Another significant meeting that influenced her life took place in Oxford where she met and befriended Professor Leszek KoĊ‚akowski - a Polish Professor of Philosophy with whom she later corresponded. Those and other meetings with outstanding personalities had a great influence on Alexandra and have shaped her personality. During her stay in Edinburgh in the 90s she worked on a short project with Steve Hamilton, as a consultant for an advertising campaign for Bruce Lindsey Coal Company.
She was a consultant and a representative of EWTN (Eternal World Television Network) for eastern Europe. For a short time she worked for PTV (Polish national TV based in Poznan). In 1999 she graduated as an English Philologist from Adam Mickiewicz University. She worked as a lecturer at Poznan University of Technology. In 2009 she completed a post graduate course in International Business at the University of Economics in Poznan coming top of the year.
In December 2008 during The United Nations Climate Conference she met Al Gore, who visited her native Poland. Alexandra had the honour to welcome him and thank him for his presence at the Polish Academy of Science (PAN).That inspirational meeting resulted in Alexandra 'taking actions' and in 2009 she decided to create - Prime Idea. Her goal is to present important issues that are closely linked to the quality of human life. She started with an interview with her long admired - Sir David Attenborough, which resulted in a documentary: Passion for Life, intended to be the first part of a series, dedicated to outstanding personalities of our times.
Since 1994, Alexandra Krawiec is married to Chris Krawiec (Computer Science Professor) with whom she has three daughters. She lived in the UK and the USA. She is a great nature supporter who, whenever the opportunity arises is trying to promote a caring attitude for the living world. She has a profound appreciation for human endeavours, especially those leading to positive social changes. She is an avid reader of science books and enjoys: her weekly read of New Scientists Magazine, listening to BBC radio 4, as well as Reith, TED, and Google lectures.
