Larry Gonzalez is a Puerto Rican filmmaker and photographer based in New York City. Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He owes most of his visual influence to the films of Sergio Leone and the American films of the 1970's. Over a span of more than ten years he has developed a substantial body of work in Latin America where he concentrated in photographing the landscape and the underground street culture of large cities. A major retrospective of his photographic work is due for publishing this year under the title "Tiempo Muerto". He has worked as a cinematographer and director Independent film productions and documentaries. He continues to direct and produce shorts, commercials and music videos. He is currently in pre-production for his next film "Animas" set to begin shooting in New York and Puerto Rico in the winter of 2011.
