Biography: 

Linda J. Brown is a recipient of Kodak’s Vision Award for Distinguished Cinematography and a Fulbright Scholar. She studied filmmaking at Temple University’s MFA program and cinematography at AFI. Linda is credited with documentaries like, American Beauties: In Pursuit of Art and A Tribute to Mel Blanc, films such as Walking to Waldheim, starring Doris Roberts, Lucky Bastard, and Showtime’s Women Series. Her work in digital cinematography attracted a team of Visual Effects Artists from Brain Zoo Studios and together they collaborated on an interactive screensaver program for Microsoft.

Linda’s latest project, You See Me, a documentary that explores the effects of her father’s stroke on her family, is in postproduction and already creating a buzz.

Both filmmaker and educator, she is a member of Film Independent and the University Film and Video Association where she is currently a member of the board.

Always committed to mentoring, Linda serves as an Ambassador with Girls Take Charge, a national leadership development organization for young women.

She has taught at AFI, Maine Media Workshops, City University of Hong Kong, Temple University, The Red Sea Institute of Cinematic Arts, and is presently an Associate Professor at USC’s School of Cinematic Arts.
